Last Friday, 5/3 . Palestinian official, syndicates and popular delegations from all regions of the West Bank, particularly from Nablus ,the city of resistance against the Israeli forces over the years of occupation, had visited Al-Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron to demonstrate their solidarity and support to Hebron population and to denounce practically the provocative Israeli decision against Al-Ibrahimi Mosque , His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Taysir Al-Tamimi, delivered 42- minute speech explaining in it the status and importance of Al- Ibrahimi Mosque in Islam and for Muslims throughout centuries, and he strongly attacked and condemned the repeated Israeli aggressions against Jerusalem and Al- Aqsa Mosque ,Hebron and Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and the Mosque of Bilal Ibn Rabah in Bethlehem , the walls of Jerusalem and other holy places in all parts of Palestine.
After the end of the prayers, crowds of Muslim worshipers headed by Sheikh Tamimi and Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi walked out from the mosque shouting and condemning the brutal Israeli aggression against Al-Ibrahimi Mosque and other Islamic holy sites.
The Israeli occupation forces attacked with brutality and cruelty the crowds , an Israeli officer approached Sheikh Tamimi and took out from his pocket a can and sprayed all its contents on his face and head , his turban was soaked with a red spray and Sheikh fell unconscious , some of Shari'a judges who were around him tried to carry him to the ambulance but the Israeli soldiers followed them and threw on them two tear gas and stun grenades, which led to the deterioration of his health, and severe difficulty in his breathing ,he was taken to governmental hospital in Hebron to receive first aid but due to his difficult condition was taken to Al-Ahli hospital where he received intensive treatment, Dr. Barghouthi stayed with Sheikh till his condition began to improve, Sheikh spent four hours in a coma.
Palestinian official and factional and popular figures had flowed into to the hospital to visit him, in the forefront of them was Governor of Hebron Dr. Hussein Al Araj
After awakening from his coma Sheikh spoke to his visitors, saying (All the sacrifices in defense of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hebron and the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque against Judaization attempts are religious duty , the brutal occupation forces oppressive attacks will not stop me , I will continue on this path, whatever the sacrifices, even if it led to fall as a martyr on the soil of this dear land) and said to them (I will return again to Al- Ibrahimi Mosque on next Friday and the next and the next to confirm its Islamic identity and confront the provocative decision of the occupation authorities to Judaize it , I was born a few meters away from the Mosque , and my father the late Sheikh Rajab Al-Tamimi was expelled from Palestine for sixteen years because of defending its Islamic identity and resisting Israeli attempts to seizing it, We will not stop our struggle and our resistance until we meet our Lord )
Among the visitors of Sheikh was a number of Palestinian ex-prisoners who examined the red liquid, which was soaked by the Sheikh's turban , they said " this is the caustic liquid that was used by the Israeli prison authorities against us in cases of alert and strike, we were falling unconscious for hours, during that, the Israeli prison authorities cuff our hands and feet and violently beat us" and they said( this liquid has damaging effects on the nervous system for a long time). So, it is a chemical weapon, just as other chemical weapons, White Phosphorous and DIME bombs used by Israel forces against the Palestinian people in war of genocide on our people in Gaza last year.
But all of these weapons will not deter us, as Sheikh Tamimi said from continuing our struggle and resistance and jihad in the course of defending our land and our holy places until liberating them, and repelling the Israeli aggressive occupation out our land.
